Progression to HE Forum

The Progression to HE Forum brings together universities, schools, Further Education (FE) colleges and the wider local guidance community and other key strategic stakeholders such as NYBEP and local authorities.

The role of the Forum is to:

  • share and disseminate information on the latest developments regarding access and progression to and through Higher Education (HE) for people of all ages;
  • exchange good practice developed by Higher York partners that raises the aspirations of young people to consider HE as a viable progression route, including that previously developed under Aimhigher;
  • maintain strategic links between stakeholders, including decisions to collaborate in response to local issues facing those wishing to progress to higher education, which may include developing joint funding bids.

Iin 2014, we undertook research on progression routes across the Higher York partnership. Download the report outlining the findings of this research (PDF, 260KB).
